The South Harbour District reaches a new milestone

Thursday November 3rd, we reached a new milestone in the development in the South Harbour District in Aarhus, when we laid the foundational stone and shared the name of the building – Akson. During this event, we laid a time capsule in the shape of a box that includes original sketches in the building’s own foundation.

A vision, we created in close collaboration with the district’s current and future actors – business people, entrepreneurs, artists and the socially disadvantaged – with the ambition to create a dynamic and vibrant area, bursting with life and energy. With the process, we have gained valuable insights that makes us able to create the greatest impact possible with the very same people who is going to use it. A goal that we with this newly-reached milestone has come one step closer to making a reality.

Together with A. Enggaard, PKA, Schmidt Hammer Lassen, LABLAND architects and Rum 3 Studio, we are one of the two project team currently developing the new Aarhus area.
