Nye receives prize for urban planning

Thursday October 6th, Tækker, Aarhus Municipality, and Aarhus Vand A/S received the annual city planning prize 2022 for their innovative and visionary collaboration.

“Nye sets new standards for the sustainable urban communities of the future through tangible solutions that create space for nature, community, and bio-diversity.” Those were the words from Arkitektforeningen (the Danish Association of Architects) who, together with Dansk Byplanslaboratorium (The Danish Town Planning Institute), are behind the prize.

As a part of the development of Nye, we have created 50 terraced houses and low-rise tower blocks. Here, everything from the collection of rain water and the use of wood to its many common facilities for the benefit of life, community and the environment.

In addition to AART, Nye is collaborative project with several contributing architecture teams incl. BIG, CEBRA, C.F. Møller, Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter, Friis & Moltke, Hune & Elkjær Arkitektfirma, LOOP Architects, and Reiulf Ramstad Architekter.
