Delivers defence on the social potentials of energy renovation
Tuesday May 31th, our Ph.D. researcher and architect Stina Rask Jensen delivered her defence on sustainable transformation of existing, social housing at Aarhus University.
I sin afhandling med titlen ”Architectural strategies for promoting well-being in sustainable renovation of social housing” har Stina undersøgt, hvordan vi – i stedet for kun at fokusere på en reduceret elregning – kan bruge energirenovering som katalysator for at forbedre beboernes trivsel og dermed skabe større effekt for samfundet og miljøet.
Afhandlingen er resultatet af det tværfaglige forsknings- og innovationsprojekt ReVALUE - et samarbejde mellem AART, Institut for Byggeri & Bygningsdesign ved Aarhus Universitet (AU Engineering, Aarhus University) og ikke mindre end ni samarbejdspartnere fra industrien, heriblandt Enemærke & Petersen A/S, MT Højgaard Danmark og Brabrand Boligforening. Her har vores stiftende partner og CCO Anders Strange haft rollen som styregruppeformand samt været engageret som ph.d.-vejleder sammen med effektchef Johanne Mose Entwistle.
In her dissertation with the titel "Architectural strategies for promoting well-being in sustainble renovation of social housing", Stina has explored how we - instead of simply focusing on a reduced electrical bill - can use energy renovation as a catalyst for improoving the well-being of the residents and thus create a larger impact for society and the environment.
The dissertation is the result of the cross-disciplinary research and innovation project ReVALUE - a collaboration between AART, AU Engineering at Aarhus University, and not less than nine industrypartners, Enemærke & Petersen A/S, MT Højgaard Danmark, and Braband Boligforening. Here, our founding partner and CCO Anders Strange has had the role of leading the steering group as well as being engaged as Ph.D. advisor together with our Head of Impact Johanne Mose Entwistle.
