Torben Skovbjerg Larsen appointed honorary professor

10.01.2019 / AART partner Torben Skovbjerg Larsen has been appointed an honorary professor in the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology at Aalborg University. According to the university, the appointment reflects his significant contribution to Danish architecture over the past 20 years.

“We look forward to working with one of Denmark’s leading architects and thus, creating a close relationship with a practice that our students can work for,” stated Hans Jørgen Andersen, head of the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology at Aalborg University.

As an honorary professor, Torben Skovbjerg Larsen will act as a bridge builder between the research environment, the students, the architectural industry and the building sector. He will do this as a continuation of his already good collaboration with Aalborg University and simultaneously with his managing role in AART architects.

"It is an honour to be recognised for one’s architectural work, and I look forward to entering into a dialogue with Aalborg University on how theory meets practice in a progressive architectural firm, where we make a virtue out of using architecture as a catalyst for developing organisations and societies," stated Torben Skovbjerg Larsen.
