Regional Hospital Gødstrup welcomes its first patients

Over the last few days, the new regional hospital in Gødstrup has welcomed its very first patients! The move is the culmination of more than 10 years of work – from the initial planning and design progress to construction and then finally the historically large move – it has been an instructive journey that we are proud to have contributed to.

Right from the beginning, the vision behind Regionshospitalet Gødstrup has been ambitious. A completely new hospital capable of truly world-class therapeutic and operational efficiency while also being perceived as a safe, welcoming environment for patients, relatives, and staff in the entire region. The move is the largest and most complicated of kind in Denmark yet. Planned down to the minute, around 40 patients have already been moved by convoys of ambulances from Regionshospitalet Holstebro to the new hospital, and more will arrive over the next few weeks.

Congrats and a big thank you to everyone involved. Regionshospitalet Gødstrup has been developed in collaboration with Arkitema, Nordic – Office of Architecture, Sweco Danmark, MOE, Hospitalitet, SMAK architects, Midtconsult, Mist+Grassat Landskab, and Arup for Region Midt and Hospitalsenhed Vest.
