Prequalified for the competition to design Cold War museum

28.08.2019 / We are excited to have prequalified to design the new visitor centre for Denmark’s most mysterious bunker.
For more than 50 years, this 60-metre-deep underground bunker in Rold Skov Forest in Northern Jutland has been  kept a secret. It was built to accommodate the royal regent and the government in case of a third world war. In other words, the site oozes history.
Our design team, which includes Thøgersen & Stouby, SLA and Niras as sub-consultants, are looking forward to giving our take on opening the nuclear bomb secure bunker facility to the public - all with the aim of bringing it into play as the new Danish Cold War museum.
We are up against four other teams in the competition, and we will keep our fingers crossed until January 2020 when the winning team will be announced.
