AART has prequalified to develop Holstebro city centre

09.04.2019 / In collaboration with SLA and Niras as subconsultants, we have prequalified to give our take on the long-term development plan for the city centre of Holstebro.
19 architecture teams applied to compete to develop the future Holstebro, which includes the transformation of a 70,000-square-metre hospital area in the middle of the city. Together with SLA and Niras as sub-consultants and Peter Sand and Trine Jacobsen as local consultants, we have been prequalified for the task based on our local roots and cross-disciplinary competencies within urban planning, traffic planning, climate adaptation, urban life, culture and art in the urban space.
“With three such diverse and extremely competent architecture teams, I am sure we will get some incredibly impressive and ambitious proposals for the development of the city centre of Holstebro, which will have an impact on life in the city for many years,” stated Rasmus Cassøe, who is a partner in the urban planning office CFBO, which is running the architecture competition for Holstebro Udvikling.
In the competition, we are up against Team Vandkunsten and Team Lendager. We will hand in our proposal for the development plan in the autumn. Subsequently, Holstebro Udvikling will announce the winning team, who will design the final development plan, which is expected to be published in early 2020.
