AART architects goes through to final phase for the new Glostrup Hospital

12.06.2013 / The team lead by AART architects and the Nordic Office of Architecture has been selected to go through to the second and final phase in the competition for the new neurological rehabilitation centre at Glostrup Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Seven teams participated in the first phase of the competition for the 21,000-sqm neurological rehabilitation centre, with total construction costs of €77 million. After a thorough examination the jury has selected the team of AART architects, the Nordic Office of Architecture, Marianne Levinsen Landscape, Buro Happold, Hospitalitet and Harde Larsen Consulting Engineers as one of three teams to go through to the final phase.
The objective of the competition is to develop state-of-the-art architecture that frames the best possible rehabilitation course for people who have sustained brain injury or spinal cord injury. Thus, the new neurological rehabilitation centre will include 103 bedrooms, research areas, outpatient clinics, a multifunctional fitness hall as well as a number of highly specialised rehabilitation facilities.
