The world’s most inspiring libraries

04.09.2014 / The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) has compiled the ultimate library guide, '1001 libraries to see before you die'. We are proud that the Culture Yard in Elsinore has made it into the guide to the world’s most inspiring libraries.

The online initiative aims to bring together best practice examples of public library buildings and spaces from around the world. Thanks to its unique architecture, interior design and surroundings, the Culture Yard has been highlighted by IFLA as a best practice and must-visit library.

”The Culture Yard is a cultural centre brimming with life and activities. It’s a place packed with history – both in its status as a modern cultural house built on a traditional shipyard, and also, quite literally, inside its large, extensive library,” IFLA highlights in the guide.

IFLA is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services and their users. It is the global voice of the library and information profession.
