The Waterhouse wins architecture award

The new headquarters for DANVA has been awarded the Danish award Bæredygtig Beton Prisen 2011.

The new headquarters for DANVA titled The Waterhouse has been awarded the Danish award Bæredygtig Beton Prisen 2011 (Sustainable Concrete Award 2011), an initiative to raise awareness of the sustainable qualities of concrete.
 
“The Waterhouse is an intriguing project which demonstrates how concrete can be used to create vibrant physical surroundings, ensuring the health of the future groundwater resources,” the jury highlights.
The biannual award honors architects, engineers and developers who set new standards for the innovative use of concrete, and the award reflects how we optimize our design decisions via a process of gathering, evaluating and applying the latest evidence from research and practice.
