Stavanger University Hospital reaches a milestone

22.06.2017 / Construction of the new university hospital in Stavanger can now start. This is a fact, after the steering committee in the Helse Vest region on June 21 unanimously approved the scheme design for the hospital, with a total budget of NOK 8 billion and a first building phase covering 100,000 square meters. It will be one of the largest healthcare building projects ever seen in the Nordic countries. As Terje Vareberg, chairman of the steering committee, made clear: “The hospital will be a huge boost for the region – even taking a 100-year perspective.”
