Norwegian Wood is nominated WAN awards

Norwegian Wood has been selected to go through to the short list for the WAN Residential Award 2011, which honours the most visionary residential architecture around the world.

“The submission (Norwegian Wood, red.) was praised as the largest and most sustainable use of wood in Europe and all the judges agreed on the interesting aesthetic that the project brings to the table, that the plans are working, and that it is artful,” WAN highlights on its website.

Norwegian Wood is designed in cooperation with Studio Ludo and Siriskjær Utbygging and is located on the urban seafront of Stavanger in Norway. In the final running for WAN Residential Award 2011 the project is up against Beirut Observatory in Lebanon designed by Accent Design Group.
