Health centre is in the running for architecture award

11.06.2014 / In March, we won the competition for the new health centre for the Deaconess Foundation in Copenhagen, Denmark. Now the project is in the running for one of the world's most prestigious prizes in health architecture, WAN Healthcare Award 2014.
The health centre is among the projects longlisted in the "unbuilt" category, where the winning project will be announced on 22 July. Surrounded by the Deaconess Foundation’s historic brick buildings, the health centre stands out from the other selected projects, where the majority are large, greenfield projects.
Formed as an angle with balconies opening the health centre inwards toward a new atrium, the health centre is designed as the Deaconess Foundation’s new meeting place, which will, among other things, provide space for public events and exhibitions.
