We have been invited to participate in this summer’s major exhibition at the Danish Architecture Center. The exhibition entitled "What makes a livable city_" provides an insight into the huge changes that have taken place in Copenhagen in the past ten years – from the massive urban development programme at Ørestad to new cultural landmarks and green urban spaces in the old working-class areas.
We participate with Bikuben Student Residence which creates the optimal settings for student life and extends the possibility that unity can arise from a broad social network. Based on Bikuben Student Residence and other landmark projects the exhibition looks to the future, asking the question: how can we build on the experience of these past ten years and continue to create the right settings for growth and welfare in the future?
"What makes a livable city _" is an updated and expanded version of the official Danish contribution to the 12th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2010. The exhibition opens on the 10th of June and can be seen until the 23rd of October.
